Nanaimo June 23 1992
This Robin toy (little Batman plastic character) is the object of tonight's meditation. Tonight I am going to introduce him, next week we will do the full meditation of the realization of Robin-hood! Tonight, because we have talked a lot, we will just meditate.
In doing meditation, try sitting in a comfortable posture where you do not have to worry about moving. Spend time conscious of your breathing as that will slow your internal dialogue, try to relax, and as you gain relaxation try to maintain a certain level of clarity. Like the string of a guitar, you dont want it so tight that it makes an unpleasant noise, you dont want it so loose it becomes completely sloppy! You want to have your mind turned just to the point of awareness that you are comfortable and relaxed, and yet you have clarity of mind. So within that state of consciousness, if you want to think about something, then do so, if you want to develop tranquillity, do so.
